Indonesia is worth it. L’Oreal invests in Asia.

At the end of 2012, the cosmetic company began production at its new plant – the world's largest 50 million dollars worth facility, located in an industrial area in Cikarangu Jababeka, the capital of West Java. "According to our findings, we will be able to produce annually 300 million pieces of cosmetics at the area of ​​200 thousand square meters and by 2015 we want to maximize our production to 500 million units" – summarized Jean-Christophe Letellier, CEO of L'Oreal in Indonesia. The project coincided with the headquarter’s decision of the new strategic goal reaching up to 50 million new customers by 2020, mainly from China and Indonesia. "Indonesia has a huge potential for production in the cosmetics sector, estimated at 15.2 million Indonesian rupees. L'Oreal is the largest foreign company on this market, and the company's unit in Asia is the thirdlargest in the world "- said Ashwin Rajgopal, Executive Manager of consumer goods division of L'Oreal in Indonesia.
