New owner. Carlyle takes over Chesapeake.

The global Chesapeake concern, which includes the offset printing house of premium labels and packaging in Białystok, was bought by an international investment fund Carlyle. One of the largest and most important stock exchange companies (with capital exceeding 176 billion dollars) owns already such companies as Hertz, RAC, Holland & Barrett and Nielsen. This list has been extended now with Chesapeake 43 manufacturing facilities throughout the world. According to a representative of the company from Bialystok, the decision to change the owner had a positive impact on the functioning of the group and its relationship with all existing partners and customers. “Carlyle Financial capability and experience of its board provides consistent support for the systematic development of the Group, while remaining consistent with our current direction of growth and development” - commented Andrzej Sosna, Chesapeake Białystok CEO. On the other hand, the decision to takeover Chesapeake was in line with the Carlyle’s constant policy of diversifying the investment portfolio, which includes the establishment of cooperation with companies offering industry-leading products and services. “We believe, that the combination of our global presence, networks of opportunity and power relations of the company's customers, will bring significant growth opportunities in the next few years” - noted Eric Kump, managing director of Carlyle Europe Partners. The arrival of a new owner did not lead to any changes in the Chesapeake executive board or in the functioning of individual plants, which will operate as usual, constantly executing current orders.
